Amy Fantini Kentta


Co-President

 

Amy Fantini Kentta is Director of Communications at Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP, where she is responsible for external and internal communications, including public relations, social media, website content and awards, as well as branding.

Ms. Kentta has nearly two decades of experience working on communications, public relations, branding, business development and marketing at premier global law firms. Prior to joining Willkie in 2020, she served as Weil’s Director of Communications for about seven years.

Before that, she managed global public relations, communications, awards and rankings, and other firm-wide marketing initiatives at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP. Ms. Kentta started her career as a legal journalist, working as a reporter for The American Lawyer and Corporate Counsel magazines, where she covered law firms, in-house legal departments and the business of law.

Ms. Kentta is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts and received her MSc in international political economy from The London School of Economics and Political Science.

 

Xenia Kobylarz


Co-President

 

Xenia Kobylarz is a senior managing director at Baretz+Brunelle, one of the country’s leading communications and business advisory firm to the legal industry.

Over her more-than-20-year career in the legal industry, Xenia has held leadership roles at several of the world’s most prominent law firms, including Paul, Weiss, King & Spalding and Ropes & Gray. She has also managed the communications function at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan and two of the nation’s top class action firms: Labaton Sucharow and Milberg.

A Columbia University J-School graduate, Xenia has 15 years of experience as a journalist writing for major legal trade publications, including the American Lawyer and the Daily Journal.

 

Maziel E. Abrego


 

Maziel Abrego is an accomplished legal marketing and business development professional with over 20 years of experience working with law firms. As the Director of Marketing and Practice Development at Vedder Price, Maziel oversees the firm’s practice development department and provides strategic guidance on business development initiatives for practice groups and attorneys.  She also leads the development and implementation of marketing and communication strategies to support the firm's growth initiatives.

Throughout her career, Maziel has executed successful marketing initiatives for law firms, such as client and practice development programs. She has conducted market and client research to help law firms identify growth opportunities and develop effective strategies for targeting key clients. She has also led marketing and communication programs, including social media platforms, database/CRM development, website and blog management, branding projects, client team initiatives, collateral development and events. Her experience in legal marketing and business development has made her a sought-after advisor for law firms and legal associations.

Maziel holds a JD from the Universidad Santa Maria la Antigua in Panama and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from Fordham University School of Law. In 2013, she served as President of the Metropolitan New York Chapter of the Legal Marketing Association (LMA). Currently, she is the past Co-Chair and member of the Talent Development Committee and 2024 Annual Conference Advisory Committee member of the International Legal Marketing Association. She is also a Member of the Board of the Law Firm Media Professionals.

Susan Peters

 

Susan Peters is the founder of Greybridge PR, a strategic public relations and communications firm focused on the legal and professional services sectors.

A former litigator, Susan has more than 15 years of experience advising on media relations and communications. She has served as in-house senior communications advisor for several top law firms, including Davis Polk & Wardwell, Vinson & Elkins and Stroock & Stroock & Lavan. She is on the board of MothersEsquire, which promotes gender equity in the legal profession and is a frequent writer and speaker on marketing and communications issues.

Micheline Tang

 

Micheline Tang is the Director of Communications at King & Spalding where she is responsible for public relations, media relations and internal communications at a global law firm with over 1,100 lawyers in 10 countries and $1.2 billion in revenue. She has spoken at University of Pennsylvania Law School, NYU School of Graduate Studies, PRNews' Crisis Conference and Legal Marketing Association's Annual Meeting PR pre-conference.

 Micheline began her strategic communications career at Kekst and Company, a leading financial public relations firm, where she provided strategic and tactical communications counsel to senior management on a variety of high-profile situations, including crises, litigation, M&A, bankruptcy, management changes, proxy fights, and long-term investor relations issues. Prior to her strategic communications career, Micheline was a corporate lawyer in New York City for six years.

 She received her B.A. from Johns Hopkins University and her J.D. from Boston 
University School of Law.

George White

 

George White is Dentons US LLP’s Awards and Rankings Manager. In this role, he oversees the firm’s U.S. awards and directories processes to support the strategic marketing and visibility efforts the firm’s lawyers. He is responsible for directing the U.S. firm’s relationships with key directories, legal publications and other rankings and awards organizations. Prior to joining Dentons in 2021, he  managed the global rankings and awards team at Sidley Austin LLP. 

Previously, George was also a journalist for 15 years covering M&A, Venture Capital, Private Equity, debt markets and technology at financial publications including The Deal LLC.
