LMA Annual Conference Features LFMP Regulars
April 2-4, 2014 - The conference will feature a a pre-conference day on NOTHING BUT MEDIA TOPICS thanks to many of our members who jumped in with programming ideas and as speakers. It’s shaping up nicely, and I strongly encourage you to come hear and see LFMP regulars and others at “Ink, Twitter, Smoke and Mirrors” a day-full of good programming in Orlando.
Speakers include Amy Fantini Deschodt (Weil Gotshal), Allan Ripp, Jamie Diaferia, Cheryl Bame, Wendy Bernero (Proskauer), Chris Till (Venable) Stephen Hastings (Fasken Martineau) the ubiquitous Joshua Peck (Duane Morris), and journalists Casey Sullivan (Reuters) and Jake Simpson (Law 360), and in the “main” conference, April 3-4, our own Susan Peters and Kathy O’Brien. Our Stefanie Marrone is co-chair of the pre-conference with Cheryl Bame, and a good time is to be had for all.

"LFMP has launched in a new city —Philadelphia!”
Jennifer Becker of Stradley Ronon has graciously stepped into the presidential role, and preside she did over the first meeting on January 9, when we discussed (and grumbled about) surveys and rankings. If you’re in Philly or nearby, please email Jen to be put on the list, and we’ll see you at the next one.
The group that convened first time thought that we’d focus on “practical” events—“how-to’s” presented by in-house folks and vendors with specific expertise, as opposed to journalist panels, which are handled successfully by LMA, DVLFMG, the Philadelphia Bar Association, among others. Further suggestions welcome.
Jen is at email@example.com, so please correspond with her about the Philly group. Looking forward to seeing you there, in the city of Brotherly and Sisterly Love.
