Elyse Blazey

Elyse Blazey is a Communications Manager at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, a global law firm with more than 1,000 lawyers in North America, Europe and Asia. Elyse oversees and manages the external and internal communications program for the East Coast & European units of one of the world's leading law firms.

Prior to joining Orrick, Elyse was the Public Relations Strategist for Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP, a national law firm with offices in New York, Los Angeles and Miami. At Stroock, she established the public relations function at Stroock and elevated the firm to a level of national recognition, including being named “Law Firm of the Year” by Securitization News.

Previously, Elyse was an Account Supervisor at Makovsky & Company Inc, a public relations and investor relations firm located in New York City. During her years at Makovsky, she counseled C-level management at various financial services firms on everything from day-to-day media to IPO’s and crisis situations. In addition, Elyse was selected as one of the “Top Five Young PR Professionals” by PR Week in 2001, and is also the recipient of various media awards including PRSA’s Silver Anvil, NY/IABC Award and Sabre Award.

Elyse graduated from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
